We are a colony of (currently)18 beavers, 2 leaders and 1 sectional assistant and we meet for 1 hour 10 minutes each Thursday evening starting at 5pm. We do a variety of activities within our meetings from things like learning to tie shoe laces, building spaghetti sculptures to making Christmas cards.
As you can imagine, it can get loud having so many people in the same room at the same time, so we have a code of conduct which sets out how we'd like our beavers to behave during our meetings to help them and us get the best from their time in Scouting, especially in Beavers.
Our Code is;
1. Be a good friend 2. Be polite and honest 3. Listen to grown ups and follow instructions given by them 4. Be fair and share 5. Be kind and helpful 6. Talk one at a time and listen when others are talking 7. Keep our hands and feet to ourselves 8. Try your best - even if you find something difficult 9. Look after other people, property and equipment 10. Be happy and have fun
We strongly support a policy of anti bullying. Any bullying within the colony will be dealt with swiftly and fairly with all parties concerned. If you have any concerns about your child's experience and time in Beavers then please come and talk to us in confidence.
